We are seeing an increase in group interviews as a hiring practice. Employers are conducting these to cut down on the amount of time involved in searching for someone to fill an open slot. If you are asked to participate in a group interview, prepare as you would for any other interview. Dress appropriately, be on time, be courteous to everyone you meet (yes, even your competition), research the company and the position, prepare answers to interview questions and prepare some really good questions to ask the interviewer. You want to show that you are prepared, have excellent communication & interpersonal skills and would be a great asset to the employer's team.
