It's always a good idea to take a few moments to review your thoughts. Are they positive? Do you convey enthusiasm and excitement? Are are you fatigued and frustrated from your long job search? Whatever is going on in your mind is being conveyed to potential employers whether you realize it or not. You may believe that you are better than anyone at hiding your true feelings, but it's important to realize that they will shine through during the interview process. They might come through in your tone, your energy level or the way you describe a past employer. If you believe you have been treated unfairly in the past, it will show up in your responses unless you do some work to let the past injustice go and move forward in a positive direction. You might want to ask a trusted friend to give you some honest feedback. It will be well worth the discomfort it may cause for you to see how you are coming across to others and taking steps to improve those impressions.
